                                CAREY MAY
My art reveals the creative potential of the individual.

I paint portraits to show the inner world of serene calm and centered energy of women and men.

Reservoirs of water are depicted in the background as the resource with which to sustain change and growth.

Electric pylons and satellite dishes reflect my interest in exploring the connections between people.

They are a way of demonstrating that we have a similar capacity to develop powerful relations with people we view as different.

These portraits explore the confluence of listening, understanding and action.
