                                      On the occasion of her death: Saturday 14. 7.2011

                                      You lived here with us
                                      a stone’s throw it was, in calling distance.
                                      You were a new daughter in our lives,
                                      slender - with a quirky smile
                                      and a big heart,
                                      quick to respond
                                      with laughter or tears
                                      to all who lived around you.

                                      But, like the arum lily in the barrel at our door
                                      with its clean white blooms,
                                      You were too slenderly planted.
                                      Time came too soon for you to bend.
                                      Brave, still standing tall, you left us.
                                      In sweet gravity you withdrew;
                                       bowed out  … without a fuss.
