Exhibiting the works of McGregor artists - known as the home of McGregor Artists.
James & Anne Binos fell in love with McGregor and moved into the village in March 2003.
Realizing just how many talented artists there were in McGregor, with no proper facilities to exhibit their work, J & A built the gallery, alongside their beautiful old house, in July 2003.
Mulberry Studio Art Gallery was officially opened on Saturday 25th October, 2003 with an exhibition of paintings by Anne Binos, Pamela Williams, Annelien van der Colff and David Bedford with sculptures and ceramics by Victoria & Richard Dryden and Barbara Sowter.
Paintings now on exhibition are by Anne Binos, Victoria Dryden, Christine Lawley, Carey May, and Marianne Saddingtonas well as ceramic sculptures by and pottery by Richard & Victoria Dryden and Paul de Jongh of Millstone Pottery.
As one of our resident journalists, wrote in Country Life Magazine:
"an exciting new village gallery, serving Western Cape Artists and visitors along Route 62, has opened in McGregor. The Mulberry Studio, on the corner of Voortrekker & Tindall Streets, is run by well-known oil & water colourist, Anne Binos and her husband Jimmy."
Mulberry Studio caters exclusively for the artists of McGregor
and has since become known as "The Home of McGregor Artists"
