Dear friends in McGregor
We are writing to you as the staff of McGregor Family centre. Presently our centre are in DESPERATE need. As you know, we are a centre who cares for vulnerable children and their families. We seek to develop them into responsible individuals with the ability to live productive and independent lives. We therefore provide a range of educational and developmental programs that will ensure the care and the protection of traumatized children and the preservation and the development of vulnerable families. WE NEED YOUR HELP. Due to a short term cash flow problem, we need your help with the following: Stationary Food to feed children Petrol account (to be paid in order to transport our children) Electricity account (to be paid) Telephone account (to be paid) Contribution to the payment of salaries (due since end of April; and for the month of May). We also want to express our deepest thanks to people already helping us (Bettie Mitchells-Innes, Werner Redelinghuys, Jimmy and Anne Binos) Please respond to this urgent request in any way possible. The DA firmly believe that housing should be on one of the adjoining farms - more than likely, Swanepoel's. Our new Councillor has undertaken to keep us advised of developments in this regard. |

The Community Policing Forum have kicked off their drive to unify the different organisations in McGregor in order to formulate a sustainable plan for uplifting McGregor youth and children. Youth Day 16th June 2011 at the McGregor Community Hall will be the fun launch of the programme - please support them! Werner and Elana are proud to announce the birth of their baby boy, Ben Redelinghuys to the community. He was born on Thursday 19 May @ 14h41, weighing 3.8 kg and he was 53 cm long! |
