Today we had a storm, and soon thereafter, as often happens here, a double rainbow appeared, with exquisite lighting in our village of McGregor, a smallish village, whose spirit of Community is just wonderful. It's full of artists, and creatives, and has such a variety of lovely interesting people from all walks of life.. a place full of stories. McGregor lies in a valley, at the end of a long and winding road that meanders through beautiful vineyard scenery, and nestles amongst rolling hills and towering mountains. It's very close to the biggest wine growing region of South Africa, and its heart, Robertson, is only 2 hours inland from Cape Town. The scenery here is spectacular . Clean air big open spaces, endless landscapes, and huge moons hanging amongst star sprinkled skies. Pure Soul food. Written by Maryke van Vlaanderen Basson, a resident of McGregor
